Flawed.
I cannot accept the results of this study, that found Singaporeans are the fastest walkers:

I think I have said this on the blog before, but I always take a couple of days to adjust back to Singapore walking speed.
I am curious as to how they even found 35 poeple to time in Singapore - the article says they excluded people with shopping bags and talking on mobiles. Who else is left?
Seriously, it's an interesting study that they're doing. I don't dispute that Singaporeans are trying to fit as much possible into life (especially when it includes earning and consuming), I am just not convinced it is reflected in their walking pace.

OMG! I was almost about to start a blog for the sole purpose of disputing the scientific reliability of that exact study/article!
Further investigation has led me to believe the subjects of the experiment were timed on the 60 foot escalator descent into Somerset MRT station.
