Phew! again

I arrived back in Sydney on Friday morning. I am amazingly relaxed to be back home. The weather today is gorgeous and I find myself day dreaming as I stare out at the harbour.
I am also very relieved to have completed almost 9 months in Singapore. My original roll off (finish) date was 31 December, so it is funny to think that this might have been it. I think I'll be excited to go back in the new year, but for now I am just enjoying preparations for Christmas and the company of friends (Aussie ones, anyways) and family.
I'll post something more exciting when I download some photos from my camera.

Phew!

This collection of goodies greeted me when I hobbled back into work after the tournament in Manilla. Yes, I really did sign up for the 10km race in the Singapore Marathon - it wasn't a bad dream!

Brett and Cat, two of my Aussie friends in Singapore, suggested I join them. The idea was that we'd all train and get ourselves in shape for the run. We didn't really, with me doing only 3 runs outside of a gym in my preparation.

The race was this morning - Cat and I ran really well and surprised ourselves with how well we did. We got a time of about 1hr and 20 mins - for my first competitive race I am quite happy.

We follwed our amazing morning's efforts with a great brunch at Graze. Bacon and smoked salmon without the guilt? Life doesn't get much better.
