Philippines roundup

On the 'way home' from Singapore, I did some jetsetting around Asia and the US. Maybe it was the long way home!

First stop was Kuala Lumpur for Gerladine and Alex's wedding, followed by 2 weeks in the beautiful Philippines with Brendan, then one week in Chicago for work, a couple more days in Singapore before finally touching down in Sydney.

The Philippines is such a beautiful collection of islands. I know it won't be my last visit ever - but probably will be for a while. I'll just post a few pictures for now. You can infer how little we did and how much I enjoyed doing so little.

First and Last stops - Manilla

A golf course surroudning the old city made B run for cover Purple firetrucks - this place has personality
I love Jollibee. Better than that scary clown

Beautiful Camiguin

View over the crater lake in the volcano we climbed.

B on the "path" up the volcano. About halfway through 7 hours of what is called "bush bashning" in Oz.
Mantigue island - sand so white the sunscreen was useless. Electric blue starfish, enough Nemos to keep me happy, some crazy irish people and really good fish BBQ.

The reason for our 2 hour roadwork delay on the one road around the island. B was horrified at their violation of all OHS laws.

Cute, but touristy, Bohol

Tasiers are very cute.

This is me being found by fingers of god in the cave we termed 'bat shit cave'. This was after we worked out what was on the surface of the pool we were swimming in!
